• Zinc ricinoleate is the zinc salt of ricinoleic acid. It is obtained from castor oil.
• Solubility: insoluble in water, soluble in fats at a temperature of 71 °C, pH value 6.6

Use

• Deodorant additive for odor neutralization. It helps to absorb the unpleasant smell of sweat, thanks to the fact that it prevents the decomposition of bacteria.
• It is often part of deodorants or antiperspirants, both liquid or cream ones with a ball applicator, and solid ones.

How does it work

• It works by chemically trapping and absorbing odor molecules produced during the bacterial breakdown of sweat, it does not inhibit transpiration and is therefore not an antiperspirant.
• It has no bactericidal or fungicidal properties and therefore does not interfere with the natural flora of the skin.
