Characteristics

• Active ingredient for cosmetic-quality sun care products, whose polysaccharides are extracted from brown algae (Laminaria digitata), depolymerized with marine enzymes and then complexed with trace elements (manganese and magnesium)
• Origin: marine (seaweed), vegetable (glycerin obtained from rapeseed) and mineral (magnesium sulfate and manganese sulfate) without preservatives

Usage

• This highly innovative active ingredient derived from brown algae in a complex with trace elements is used in “home” care to promote tanning.
• In vitro studies show that it can stimulate melanin synthesis and increase melanocyte count, with or without exposure to sunlight. It also helps fight damage related to UV exposure.
• This active ingredient can be incorporated into your after-sun care products, your daily “healthy glow” products and self-tanning treatments and can be combined with DHA for a more intense coloring effect on the skin.
• This active ingredient is used as an ingredient in your cosmetic products: pre- and post-sun care, self-tanning treatments (possibly combined with natural DHA to intensify the color without sunbathing)
• As a cosmetic ingredient, the cosmetic active ingredient oligo'bronz is recognized for these properties - it enhances the tan because
• Stimulates melanin synthesis, even without UV exposure, by binding to endothelin receptors
• Activates tyrosinase, a key enzyme in melanin synthesis, increases the number of melanocytes, cells responsible for melanin production and thus skin color
• Protects fibroblasts from UV-related damage: in vitro tests show that this active ingredient is able to protect cellular DNA and cellular proteins from degradation during UV radiation.
• Fight against sunburn, degraded skin cells after exposure to UV rays
• Protective effect on Langerhans cells (cells involved in the immune system) in the epidermis and dermis after exposure to UVA and UVB
