Characteristics

• Vetiver oil is a member of the Poaceae family. This oil has an earthy, woody scent and is classified as a base note. Vetiver blends well with earthy, minty and woody oils.
• Vetiver is full of antiseptic and antispasmodic properties, which are especially used in products to promote restful sleep. Its aroma is known to be deeply balancing, calming and grounding.
• Essential oil
• The vetiver plant has been known since ancient India and is called the "oil of calm" for its calming effects. The essential oil is even used in aromatherapy to relieve anger, hysteria and irritability.
• Botanical name: Vetiveria zizaniodes, the root is used
• Extractive steam distillation
• The consistency is heavy and viscous. Fragrance Vetiver has an earthy, woody scent characteristic of most essential oils obtained from the roots of the earth. Blends with earthy, minty and woody oils.

Use

• Never use pure oils on the skin without dilution, never use internally, keep out of reach of children and eyes, always check for any health issues that may be causing the problem. If in doubt, seek help.
