  • Unmodified tapioca starch
  • Tapioca starch finely ground, naturally gluten-free and with a neutral taste, which is a big advantage over other starches that change the taste of dishes.
  • It has a low gelatinization temperature, high leavening ability, stability during freezing, binds fat molecules and is clear (transparent), which is important for the appearance of dishes.
  • The raw material from which tapioca starch is produced is called cassava (cassava / yuca / tapioca).
  • It is a tropical starchy crop native to the Amazon whose tuber is similar to a large sweet potato.
  • It is important to mention that tapioca is the most important source of nutrition in the tropics after rice and corn.
  • Tapioca is a healthy source of complex polysaccharides with a low cholesterol content.
  • It does not contain gluten and can therefore be part of a gluten-free diet.
  • Tapioca contains calcium, phosphorus, potassium and magnesium. It is also a source of iron, folic acid and vitamin B. Tapioca is also a natural source of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. To a lesser extent, tapioca also contains some B vitamins such as folate, thiamin, pyridoxine (vitamin B6), riboflavin and pantothenic acid.

What does tapioca starch do in a natural deodorant?

  • In our formulation we have used starch to absorb excess moisture from natural perspiration.
  • The basic deodorant formulation contains tapioca starch. We chose tapioca starch because, even as a raw ingredient, it feels soft, gives a silky feel and absorbs moisture at the same time.
  • According to yoga, tapioca starch is one of the "sattvic" foods, i.e. the purest and ideal food.
  • It is a very high-quality product for preparing many dishes, e.g. Brazilian buns. It is also suitable for the preparation of home cosmetics, thanks to its ability to absorb oil.
  • Tapioca starch is used mainly in international cuisine, thanks to its unique properties it is irreplaceable for many dishes.
