Use

• Perfect for soap making. Add to your soap for a silky feel.
• It's amazing on the skin, adds shine and helps create a rich lather.
• Adding tussah silk to your soap formulas will give your soaps a soft, silky and luxurious feel.
• Many soap makers feel it also contributes to a more "slippery" feel and gives the bars a slightly shinier appearance.
• The silk fibers are collected from the cocoons only after the silkworm has hatched

Method

• Just dissolve a small amount (we use 1g per 2.5kg of fats/oils) in the mixture.
• For best results, you need to cut the silk into small pieces so that it dissolves quickly, you add it to the prepared lye.
• Then you add the silk-enriched lye as usual.
• Fibers can clump together. If this happens, press the clump firmly against the container with a spoon to break it up. Breaking up the clump will help the silk dissolve faster.
