Characteristics

100% natural essential oil, steam distilled
Lime is photosensitizing (similar to bergamot), so if used topically on the skin, the area should not be exposed to UV rays for at least 12 hours to avoid burning.

Use

Lime essential oil can be used instead of Lemon essential oil for its cleansing effects as well as for flu and colds. Some people prefer the aroma of lime essential oil to diffuse both as a disinfectant and mood enhancer. Alternating this oil with other oils can liven up the fragrances used.

Another use of Lime essential oil can be to cleanse the skin, where many claim it improves the appearance and firmness of the skin.
