Characteristics

• Candelilla wax is a vegetable wax, refined, which is obtained from the stem of the Euphorbia Cerifera shrub.
• It has a flake structure, light yellow color, is hard, brittle and bright.
• It melts at a temperature of 68 - 73 C.
• Hot soluble in fats
• Raw material for the production of cosmetics

Use

• It provides cosmetic products with a cohesive consistency, hardness and surface gloss, therefore it is a suitable component of decorative cosmetics, e.g. lipsticks, lip balms, make-up, etc.
• Adds a soft creamy texture to body creams and butters.
• It protects the skin from moisture loss, hydrates, soothes and regenerates it.
• It creates a fine protective film on the skin, which prevents it from drying out and cracking.
• Leaves skin and hair shiny.
• It can be used as a vegetable substitute for beeswax in cosmetic products, as well as in the manufacture of candles.
• It is used as a natural thickener for cosmetic products, giving them strength, stiffness and shine.
• Cosmetic effects: emulsifying, preservative, protective, regenerative, moisturizing.
• Decorative cosmetics: lipsticks and lip balms, spirals, eye shadows, make-up, etc.
• Body and hair care: body creams, solid body butters, protective body emulsions, face creams, hand creams, soaps, hair products, etc.
• Dosage: 1 to 5%
