The best known and most used flower water is used to soothe, cool and heal irritated or damaged skin. Compresses made of lavender water help reduce fever, fight against headaches and migraines. Refreshing with a spray reduces stress and hot flashes. It is suitable as a tonic for all skin types and as an effective disinfecting and healing water after shaving or depilation. It is used as a rinse for vaginal infections. It is suitable for the treatment of infant skin, for the gentle disinfection of abrasions, for inhalations during respiratory infections. It is added to the bath and, mixed with chamomile hydrolate, helps with skin rashes and insomnia. It relieves pregnancy nausea, pain and spasms, it is effective for healing the lining of the perineum immediately after childbirth, it is used as a refreshing spray during the first period of labor.
Use
As a refreshing spray or poultice or just to rub on the skin; as an additive to creams, gels and lotions according to the specific effect on the skin; to heal damaged or irritated skin; for cleaning and toning the skin (has an astringent effect); for a therapeutic bath (a few glasses of hydrolat in the bath); for steaming the face and inhalations either undiluted or mixed with water according to the desired effect; as a natural flavoring for culinary purposes; to quickly rub the affected areas (mix with alcohol in a ratio of 4:1 and get a tincture-like mixture); for therapeutic purposes, also suitable for caring for pregnant women, infants and the elderly; to scent laundry or place settings (does not leave stains); to care for pets that are too sensitive to strong smells; to gently disinfect hands and skin; in hair and scalp care; as a mouthwash to disinfect the oral cavity and gargle.
