RECIPE
Hyaluronic acid is a substance that can bind water and thus helps the skin to retain moisture. It naturally occurs in our skin, but we can supplement it in homemade cosmetics with a simple gel.More information

Manufacturing Process

Preparing the base: Weigh out the rose floral water in a clean, disinfected jar. If you use another hydrolate or distilled water, the procedure is the same.

Adding hyaluronic acid: Evenly sprinkle the hyaluronic acid onto the surface of the water. Do not stir immediately. Let it soak for a while to prevent unnecessary clumps from forming.

Hydrating the gel: After a few minutes, gently stir the mixture, cover the jar with foil or a lid, and place in the fridge. Allow it to rest for several hours, ideally overnight. The hyaluronic acid will swell and create a gentle gel during this time.

Mixing: After resting, thoroughly stir the gel until it is smooth and uniform. If small lumps remain, let it sit a bit longer and stir again.

Preservation: Add Cosgard and stir thoroughly again so that the preservative is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

Filling: Pour the finished serum into a clean, sealable bottle. Store it in a cool place and always ensure cleanliness when using.

If you want a thicker gel, you can add a small amount of xanthan gum to the recipe. Add it sparingly, as it thickens gradually.

Function of Each Ingredient

Hyaluronic acid: Binds water to itself and creates a light hydrating film on the skin. Thanks to this, the serum feels fresh, non-greasy, and layers well with other skincare.

Rose floral water: Forms the watery base of the serum and gives it a gentle floral scent. It's suitable where you want simple, light, and pure skincare.

Cosgard: Preservative needed for water-based recipes. It helps protect the finished product from microbiological growth during storage and use.

Hyaluronic serum is a simple foundation for home skincare. You only need a few ingredients, a clean container, and some patience to allow the hyaluronic acid to swell. Use the finished serum under a cream or oil, which will help lock in the moisture in your skin.
