Zinc Ricinoleate, 30 g

Zinc Ricinoleate is a zinc salt of ricinoleic acid obtained from castor oil, which is used in cosmetics for its pronounced deodorizing properties. It helps absorb the unpleasant odor of sweat by preventing the decomposition of odor-causing bacteria without disturbing the natural microflora of the skin. Thanks to its gentle profile, it is also suitable for sensitive skin types and can be combined with other active ingredients in home recipes.

How to work with it:
This substance is insoluble in water and dissolves in oil/phase components at a temperature of around 70 °C. The recommended dosage in cosmetic formulations is approximately 1.5 – 3% of the total weight of the product.

Usage

• Deodorant additive for odor neutralization. Helps absorb unpleasant sweat odor by preventing the decomposition of bacteria.
• It is a component of deodorants or antiperspirants, both liquid or cream with a roller applicator, and solid ones.

How it works

• It works by chemically capturing and absorbing odor molecules created during the bacterial breakdown of sweat, it does not inhibit transpiration and is therefore not an antiperspirant.
• It has no bactericidal or fungicidal properties and therefore does not interfere with the natural flora of the skin.
