Single phase staining - general information:
Dyeing with henna is the same as dyeing with regular hair dye. You will need a bowl, water, Voono paint and ideally a thermometer. The temperature of the water with which you mix the henna powder is essential for henna dyeing. Normally, the recommended water temperature is 50 °C, for red shades the recommended temperature is 60-90 °C. Mix the henna with water, the consistency is rather a thicker slurry. Apply after it has cooled to a reasonable temperature, so as not to burn your skin with the high temperature of the dye. Ideally, massage the hair and then cover with a plastic cap. For a good effect of henna, it is necessary to keep the hair warm (it is also great to put an old cap or a turban made of a towel on top of the plastic bathing cap). It is a natural coloring, so keep in mind that the henna exposure time depends on the type of hair, the manufacturer states 45 min. up to 2 hours.
Two-phase dyeing (recommended for gray dyeing) - general information:
Hair dyeing with henna has its specifics and, as we have already said, it depends on the type of hair and the resulting shade depends on your current hair shade. Therefore, if we have a combination of gray and dyed hair, the gray will be lighter after one-phase dyeing. In order to achieve the same shade, we recommend two-phase dyeing, which consists of the following procedure:
- dye your hair with hair dye from Voono, shade COPPER
- 24 hours after dyeing, dye your hair again with your desired shade of VOONO hair dye
- another option is to dye your hair twice with the same desired shade
