Characteristics

Properties and uses

Cosmetics: Great for making soaps, creams, balms, body lotions and shampoos. It gives products a luxurious, gently floral character with a touch of cleanliness.

What do fragrance oils dissolve in?

Fragrance oils are hydrophobic and do not dissolve in water on their own. They must always be mixed with a carrier:

Alcohol – ideal for perfumes, sprays and air fresheners.
Vegetable oils – suitable for massage blends and cosmetics.
Polysorbate 80 – enables mixing with water.
Augeo – suitable for perfumes and diffusers.

Safety information: May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. May cause an allergic skin reaction. Causes serious eye irritation. Toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects. Keep out of reach of children. Store locked up. Avoid breathing vapours or dust. Wear protective gloves and eye/face protection. IF SWALLOWED: Immediately call a POISON CENTER. Do NOT induce vomiting. IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If skin irritation or rash occurs, seek medical advice. If eye irritation persists, seek medical advice. Collect spillage. Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local regulations.
