Okay, maybe it won't make washing dishes fun. But it will definitely spice up your routine, and its scent and simplicity will make the activity a little more enjoyable.
The detergent has a practical "bomb" shape. We keep it in a bowl on the sink, where it is always at hand. Just moisten a sponge, run it over the detergent a few times to absorb the cleaning mixture into the sponge, and get to work!
The product foams wonderfully, effectively removes dirt and lasts a really long time. It can be used to clean not only dishes, but also work surfaces, sinks and kitchen appliances. Plus, it will perfume the entire kitchen with the invigorating scent of rosemary.
It's almost unbelievable, but you only need three ingredients to make an effective cleaner:
Sodium coco sulfate: a little cleaning superhero! This surfactant comes from coconut oil and is exceptionally effective at removing grease while being environmentally friendly.
Wine vinegar: a natural descaling agent that leaves dishes beautifully shiny. It also has antibacterial properties and is great for cooking recipes.
Rosemary essential oil: Rosemary oil is a natural antibacterial and antifungal agent, which is great not only for washing dishes but also for cleaning the kitchen. And its fresh, herbal scent will invigorate your senses and give you energy, which can come in handy when doing less-loved household chores.
For two pieces of approximately 35 grams each
- 70 grams sodium coco sulfate
- 10 grams of wine vinegar
- 70 drops of rosemary essential oil
- Stainless steel ball mold , other suitable mold or bowl
In a heatproof bowl over a bain-marie over low heat, dissolve the sodium coco sulfate and vinegar. The ingredients will gradually combine into a thick, sticky paste.
Using a spoon or wooden spoon, stir the mixture thoroughly and press it against the side of the container until it becomes smooth. Small lumps are not a problem - they will not affect the effectiveness of the product.
Remove the bowl from the water bath and add 70 drops of rosemary essential oil. Stir thoroughly to evenly distribute the oil.
Transfer the mixture to the mold halves or leave it in the bowl you used. Smooth the surface. Place the molds or bowl in the freezer for 30 minutes to set.
After removing from the freezer, let the product dry at room temperature for at least 24 hours. Patience pays off here.
Handle sodium coco sulfate with care. Wear gloves, goggles, and possibly a mask to protect your hands, eyes, and respiratory tract.
Store the finished product in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. If stored properly, it will last up to 6 months .
Now you have everything you need to get started. So go ahead and enjoy your homemade creations!
