Rhassoul, also known as Ghassoul, is a natural mineral clay traditionally used in cosmetics as a cleansing and absorbent ingredient. In home cosmetics, it is mainly used to prepare face masks, hair masks, washing pastes, wraps and soaps.
It is popular in products intended for normal, combination and oily skin, as well as in hair products, where it helps remove impurities and styling product residues from the surface of the skin and hair. It contributes to the creation of a soft, creamy consistency.
How to work with it
Rhassoul is insoluble in water, when mixed with water or hydrolates it forms a fine paste.
It is used without heating, it is recommended to let it hydrate for a few minutes to fully develop its properties. It is worked with non-metallic utensils.
