Monoi
Monoi de Tahiti is a traditional Tahitian treasure whose name means “fragrant oil”. This exceptional product is created by macerating Tiare (Gardenia tahitensis) flowers in coconut oil. The result is an exotically scented, buttery product, protected worldwide by the Appellation d'origine label.

Waterless Body Balm with Monoi
Waterless balm with an exotic Monoi scent, shea butter, and beeswax. Suitable for dry skin areas, hands, elbows, or as a richer body balm after bathing.

Procedure
- Work with clean and dry utensils, as this is a waterless product.
- Weigh Monoi, shea butter, beeswax, and almond oil into a heatproof bowl.
- Heat in a water bath at low temperature until the wax and butter are fully melted.
- Remove from heat and let cool to around 45°C.
- Stir in vitamin E and mix thoroughly.
- Pour into clean, dry jars and let solidify at room temperature.
Packing and Use
- Suitable packaging: cosmetic jar or aluminum tin.
- Use: apply a small amount to dry skin as needed.
- A preservative is generally not necessary as long as water does not get into the product.
- Scoop out with dry fingers or a clean spatula.
Light Body Milk with Monoi
O/W emulsion with Monoi, shea butter, and panthenol. It has a lighter consistency than a balm and is suitable for daily body care.

Procedure
- Disinfect the work surface, tools, and packaging. For products with a water phase, hygiene is essential.
- Mix xanthan gum into glycerin and add to distilled water. Mix and let hydrate.
- Heat phase A to 70–75°C.
- In a separate container, weigh phase B and heat it to 70–75°C, until the Olivem 1000 and shea butter dissolve.
- While mixing, pour phase B (oil) into phase A (water) and emulsify with a stick blender for 2–3 minutes.
- Mix while cooling. Below 40°C, add panthenol, Cosgard, and vitamin E.
- Check the pH, target about 5.0–5.5. Adjust with a suitable acid if needed.
- Fill into a clean airless bottle or pump bottle.

- Suitable packaging: airless bottle or pump bottle.
- Use: apply to body skin as needed.
- A preservative is necessary, as the formula contains water.
- Store the finished product away from direct sunlight and use ideally within 2–3 months.
Hair Oil Serum with Monoi
Waterless hair serum for hair ends and lengths. Monoi provides a pleasant fragrance, oily softness, and helps hair look sleeker.

Procedure
- Work with clean and dry utensils.
- If Monoi is solid, briefly warm it in a water bath until soft.
- Weigh Monoi, almond oil, and Coco-Caprylate and mix until homogeneous.
- Add vitamin E and mix thoroughly again.
- Pour into a dropper, pump, or small PET bottle.
Packing and Use
- Suitable packaging: bottle with dropper, pump, or dosing cap.
- Use: spread 1–3 drops in your palms and apply to hair ends or lengths.
- A preservative is generally not necessary as this is a waterless product.
- Protect from water and store away from direct sunlight.
