What do fragrance oils dissolve in?
Fragrance oils are hydrophobic and do not dissolve in water. They should always be blended in a carrier:
- Alcohol – ideal for perfumes, sprays and fresheners.
- Vegetable oils – suitable for massage blends and cosmetics.
- Polysorbate 80 – enables mixing with water.
- Augeo – suitable for perfumes and diffusers.

Il rapporto consigliato è 7 : 3. A questa base può poi aggiungere la fragranza al fiore di tiglio, circa 2–8%, in base a quanto desidera che il profumo sia intenso.
Meglio iniziare con una quantità più bassa, mescolare bene e lasciare riposare un po’.
