Solubility

Fragrance oils are hydrophobic and insoluble in water. They must always be mixed with a suitable carrier:

Alcohol – ideal for perfumes, sprays and diffusers.
Vegetable oils – suitable for cosmetics and massage oils.
Polysorbate 80 – allows mixing with water.
Augeo – suitable for diffusers and home fragrances.
