Inulin is a natural polysaccharide of plant origin. In cosmetics, it is used to promote hydration, softness and balance of the skin and scalp.
Inulin is a natural carbohydrate (fructan) that is used in cosmetics primarily as a moisturizing and conditioning ingredient. It is popular in home cosmetics for its ability to promote softness and improve the sensory properties of products.
In skin care, it helps maintain the skin's hydrated appearance and contributes to its comfort. It is also often used in products for sensitive skin.
In hair cosmetics, it promotes smoothness of hair, improves its suppleness and makes it easier to comb. It is suitable for shampoos, conditioners and leave-in care.
Promotes hydration and softness. Inulin is a natural carbohydrate most often obtained from chicory root or other plants rich in fructans. It is obtained by extraction and subsequent purification, resulting in a fine powder soluble in water.

For better dissolution, it is recommended to add it to slightly warmed water (approx. 50–70 °C) while stirring.
Recommended dosage: usually 1–5% depending on the type of product.
