How to get rid of dry hands once and for all
They serve, write, carry, hold, in short, they do not stop, we are talking about the hands that faithfully serve us day after day. We wash them several times a day and apply cream here and there. Although they are so often overworked, they are unfortunately often neglected.
I also had problems with extremely dry hands where my skin would crack until it bleeds, I couldn't find any product that would solve my problem. This was the starting moment for me when I decided to start making cosmetics at home.
I made my first cream from beeswax and vegetable oils and within a week my hands were soft. It's not the classic soft cream, but basically a solid paste, and you can find the instructions for it at the end of this article.
I bought fabric gloves and put them on at night after applying the cream. Well, I always lasted only two or three hours before I took them off, but the effect finally started to appear. The roughness disappeared, but what was important for me were the painful cracks on my hands.
I didn't want to go back to the way my hands were before, and because I got rashes after washing the dishes, I was looking for an alternative to replace the dishwashing detergent. I started using soap nuts and baking soda instead of cleaning powder.
For stains in a tea mug, dirty glass from the oven, on a glass-ceramic plate... I use baking soda mixed with a few drops of lemon for anything I can. The great thing is that this cleaning doesn't dry out your hands and you don't need to use rubber gloves when working.
Oatmeal is my favorite when I want to do something extra for my hands. I pour a little milk over a handful of oatmeal and let it stand for a while. After a while, they soak the oatmeal in milk and then I apply the result to my hands as a mask and rub it so that this mixture is everywhere, then I just leave it on for ten minutes. It is a very pleasant procedure, which does not replace hand cream, but hands are soft after oatmeal.
In conclusion, I would like to share with you an author's recipe that you can also find in my e-book: T Tajemstvi doměší kosmetiky , which is free to download.
Cream for extremely dry hands
2 tablespoons of beeswax
2 tablespoons of cocoa butter
3 tablespoons of almond oil
2 tablespoons of avocado oil
Production procedure: Put an empty mason jar (in this case, use a real mason jar, which you throw away after the cream is used up, or prepare a new preparation in it, beeswax is difficult to remove) in a pot of water. Add the beeswax and slowly heat until the wax is completely melted. The water in the pot should not boil. When the wax starts to melt, add cocoa butter, mix with a medical spatula. When everything is dissolved, remove from the heat and mix in the almond and avocado oil. It is advisable to heat the vegetable oil slightly so that the beeswax and oil have approximately the same temperature when mixed.
