What do fragrance oils dissolve in?
Essential and fragrance oils are hydrophobic and do not dissolve in water. They must always be diluted in a carrier:
- Alcohol – ideal for perfumes, sprays and diffusers.
- Vegetable oils – suitable for massage blends and cosmetics.
- Polysorbate 80 – enables blending with water.
- Augeo – perfect for diffusers and perfumes.
