  • It is a hydrophilic emulsifier - it is also soluble in water.
  • Self-emulsifying: enables stable emulsions without the need to add another emulsifier or stabilizer.

Use

  • It is used as an emulsifier for moisturizing creams, eye creams, make-up, skin cleansing creams, peelings, sunscreens.
  • It creates a very soft feeling on the skin, milks and creams help to hydrate the skin and thus prevent the skin from cracking and drying out.

Solubility

  • 3-8% melt in the oil phase at approx. 60-65°C, or 10-12% melt in the water phase at 70-75°C
