Glyceryl Caprylate is an ester of glycerin and a fatty acid, which is used in cosmetics as a multifunctional ingredient. It is most often used as a supporting preservative, which increases the effectiveness of the preservative system, and also as an emollient and emulsion stabilizer.
It is used in water- and oil-based preparations and is suitable for both natural and conventional cosmetics.

How to work with it

Glyceryl Caprylate is soluble in oils and partially dispersible in the water phase.
It is usually added to the oil phase or to the finished emulsion upon heating.
