Characteristics

Ginger, Amber & Bergamot is a warm, spicy yet fresh fragrance. It opens with an amber accord and light citrus nuances of bergamot, leading into a heart of ginger spice and floral notes. The base consists of elegant woody and amber notes that provide depth and harmony.

Properties and uses

Cosmetics: Ideal for soaps, creams, balms, body lotions and shampoos. Adds a warm, energising note with a delicate touch of spice.
Candles: Suitable for autumn and winter candles, creating an atmosphere of comfort, warmth and elegance.
Home use: Excellent in diffusers and aroma sprays for an oriental home fragrance.
Perfumes: An excellent base for warm, unisex and elegant perfumes with a woody, spicy character.
Laundry: Add a few drops to fabric softener for a delicate, luxurious fragrance with touches of amber and bergamot.

What do fragrance oils dissolve in?

Fragrance oils are hydrophobic and do not dissolve in water on their own. They must always be mixed into a carrier:

Alcohol – ideal for perfumes, sprays and air fresheners.
Vegetable oils – suitable for massage blends and cosmetics.
Polysorbate 80 – allows mixing with water.
Augeo – suitable for perfumes and diffusers.

Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 on the classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures:

H302 Harmful if swallowed. H304 May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways. H315 Causes skin irritation. H317 May cause an allergic skin reaction. H319 Causes serious eye irritation.
