Preparation method

  1. First, thoroughly mix all the dry ingredients in a larger, completely dry bowl – Epsom salt, baking soda and citric acid. If you choose the richer version, add the dried sheep's milk and Manjistha powder at this stage as well.
  2. Measure the almond oil into a smaller clean container. If you are using Olivem 300 solubiliser, first stir it directly into the almond oil. Then add your chosen essential oil to this liquid mixture and briefly stir.
  3. Slowly pour the prepared oil mixture into the bowl with the dry base.
  4. Begin working the entire mixture thoroughly. For the best result, mix the salt with clean hands, similarly to preparing crumble topping for a cake. This ensures that the oil reaches every grain of salt evenly.
  5. Finally, gently stir the dried chamomile or rose petals into the finished mixture.
  6. Transfer the finished bath salt into the prepared jar and close it tightly.

Effects of the individual ingredients

  • Epsom salt: Forms the main functional base. It contains magnesium, helps relax tense muscles and supports the body's overall regeneration during a warm bath.
  • Baking soda and citric acid: In this ratio, they help gently soften the water and create a light fizz when added to the bath, which helps release the fragrant essences more quickly.
  • Almond oil: Gives the salt caring properties. It helps prevent hot water from drying the skin, nourishes it and leaves it soft after the bath.
  • Essential oils: Add an aromatherapeutic dimension. Lavender calms before sleep, orange refreshes the mind, while rose and geranium create a feeling of harmony.
  • Dried sheep's milk: Enriches the bath with vitamins A, B and D and gives the water a pleasant, gently milky texture that benefits dry skin.
  • Manjistha powder: Acts as a completely natural colourant that gives the blend an attractive tint and is also known for its antibacterial properties.
  • Olivem 300: Acts as a solubiliser, helping the almond and essential oils disperse more effectively in water so that they do not form continuous greasy patches on the surface.

Preparing this bath salt leaves plenty of room for your own creativity when combining fragrances and herbs. We believe that this blend will bring you, and those you choose to give it to, well-deserved moments of peace, relaxation and the joy of handmade creation.
