Decalact Deo – natural active ingredient for deodorants
Decalact Deo is an effective natural blend designed for making deodorants. It helps limit microorganisms that break down components of sweat and contribute to unpleasant body odour. It allows you to create a gentle deodorant without aluminium salts and without blocking natural perspiration.
The active ingredient combines the deodorising effect of a lactic acid derivative, triethyl citrate and sage oil. The ingredients complement one another and help keep skin fresh for longer. The manufacturer states a clinically tested deodorising effect lasting up to 24 hours.
Decalact Deo is liquid, easy to dose and can be incorporated into either the water or oil phase. It is suitable for roll-ons, spray deodorants, gel deodorants, cream emulsions and solid deodorants.
Dosage and incorporation
The recommended dosage is 0.3–1.0% of the total product weight. In water-based formulations, process at temperatures up to 40 °C; in the oil phase, up to 60 °C. Add it to emulsions and gels during cooling below 40 °C.
Decalact Deo is not a preservative. Water-containing products must therefore be preserved with a suitable broad-spectrum preservative and their stability must be verified.
