  • Dead Sea mud is filtered and dried.
  • Raw material for the production of cosmetics.
  • This mud is completely specific and unique in the whole world.
  • The basis is the underlying material of the Dead Sea bottom containing a large number of miniature crystals that form a supersaturated solution in an aqueous environment, excreting minerals back into their crystalline form.
  • The relaxing and pain-relieving effects of Dead Sea mud were known to the inhabitants hundreds of years before Christ.
  • Mineral mud has a wide range of applications, its advantage is immediate action and long-term effect.

Use

  • Widely used in spas to treat skin conditions such as dermatitis, psoriasis, and eczema.
  • A great addition to facial masks, scrubs and soaps.
  • It absorbs excess oil and dead cells from the surface of your skin and deeply cleanses pores.
  • It has beneficial effects on the human body.
  • Its positive effects have been proven in the treatment of musculoskeletal diseases (rheumatism), various types of eczema and psoriasis.
  • Mud is also suitable for overall relaxation, relieving a tired and constantly stressed human organism.
  • The huge amount of iodine and bromine - in the mud, water and air - will put any frayed nerves in order.

Dead Sea mineral mud is primarily used as a raw material for the preparation of face masks, body wraps, topical cosmetic compresses and hair masks for the scalp. It is a dried powder that is mixed with water or another suitable aqueous component to form a smooth paste before use.

Basic dosage

For regular use, mix the mud with water in a ratio of 7 parts mud: 1 part water. The ratio can be adjusted according to the desired consistency - for a thicker mask, add more powder, for a finer and easier to spread paste, add a small amount of water.

Indicative quantity for one use:

  • Face mask: 5–10 g dried mud + a small amount of water depending on consistency
  • Neck and decollete mask: 10-20 g dried mud
  • Body wrap for selected area: 30–80 g of dried mud
  • Full body wrap: approximately 150–300 g of dried mud depending on the area of application
  • Scalp mask: 20–50 g of dried mud depending on the length and density of your hair

Always prepare only the amount you will use immediately. The mixture after mixing with water is not intended for long-term storage unless it is part of a properly preserved cosmetic formula.

How to mix mud

Pour the measured amount of mud into a clean bowl and gradually add water. Mix until a smooth paste without lumps is formed. For a gentler application, you can also use floral water, hydrolate or demineralized water. For more sensitive skin, we recommend starting simply with water and a shorter exposure time.

Do not use metal utensils if you want to work with the mineral raw material as gently as possible. A glass, ceramic or plastic bowl and a cosmetic spatula are suitable.

Use as a face mask

Apply a thin to medium layer to clean skin, avoiding the eye and lip area. Leave on for approximately 5–10 minutes, for well-tolerated skin up to 10–12 minutes. The mask should not dry completely hard on the skin. If it starts to dry out too quickly, you can lightly moisten it with water or hydrolate.

Then rinse with lukewarm water and gently pat your skin dry. After use, we recommend applying a hydrating serum, cream or light facial oil depending on your skin type.

Recommended frequency of use:

  • Oily skin: 1× per week
  • Normal skin: 1× every 7–14 days
  • More sensitive or drier skin: 1× every 14 days, shorter duration of action

Use as a body wrap

Apply the prepared paste to the selected part of the body in an even layer. Leave it on for approximately 10–15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water. After rinsing, it is advisable to treat the skin with body milk, butter or oil.

For more comfortable application, the skin can be covered with a cosmetic film or towel during the application. When using at home, do not use too hot wraps and always monitor the skin's reaction.

Scalp use

Mix the mud into a thin paste so that it can be applied well to the hair roots. Apply to damp scalp, massage gently and leave on for approximately 5–10 minutes. Then rinse very thoroughly and wash your hair with a mild shampoo if necessary.

For longer hair, we recommend applying the mud primarily to the scalp, not to the lengths, so as not to burden the hair unnecessarily.

Use in cosmetic formulas

In home cosmetics, dried mud can be incorporated into:

  • cleansing face masks,
  • mineral body wraps,
  • scalp mask,
  • rinse-off body scrubs,
  • SPA mixtures for single preparation,
  • powder masks intended to be mixed just before use.

For anhydrous powder mixtures, a preservative is usually not necessary unless water enters the product. Once the mud is mixed with water or is part of an aqueous product, it is necessary to address microbiological stability, manufacturing hygiene, and appropriate preservation.

Recommendations for safe use

Before first use, we recommend performing a tolerance test on a small area of skin. Dead Sea mud is naturally high in mineral salts, so it can be more intense on the skin than regular clays. Do not use on irritated or injured skin, after shaving, around the eyes and on mucous membranes.

The product is for external use only. Rinse the skin well after each application and then moisturize.
