I have been preparing for the production of homemade cosmetics for a long time. But it wasn't until my mother's eczema and the cracked and dry skin on her hands took a long time to heal that I finally gave up. Before making the cream, I studied a lot of websites on the Internet and in the process I came across yours, which helped me a lot in the production, so I decided to send you something in return.
I am a normal girl between the ages of 18 and 20 who is studying at a nursing school. Recently, I have been paying more attention to product quality than before.
I bought everything I needed on your website and started production.
What will be needed?
- 36.9 grams of almond oil
- 3.3 grams of mango butter
- 6.6 grams of olive emulsifying wax
- 31.5 grams of distilled water (bought at a pharmacy) - instead of pure water, I made an infusion of calendula and chamomile (both herbs have healing and calming effects)
- 1.6 grams of glycerin
- 0.2 grams of aromatic extract (I put chocolate)
- 1.4 grams of orange essential oil
- 0.5 grams of Naticide preservative
How to do it?
First I made an infusion - I weighed 50g of distilled water into a saucepan (it's more than in the recipe and that's because something evaporates after heating and part of it remains in the herbs), brought it to a boil, took it off the heat and threw in the herbs, I let it infuse for at least 30 minutes, strained through a sieve and squeezed the herbs.
Then I weighed out 32g of leachate (a little water evaporates during heating) and heated it to 70°C.
I weighed the oils and fats into another saucepan and heated them to 70°C in a water bath. When both parts reached 70°C, slowly and with constant stirring I poured the leachate (water with herbs) into the oils and stirred for at least 5 minutes.
Then I added glycerin, aromatic extract, essential oil and Naticide preservative while stirring constantly - I mixed for at least 3 minutes.
I poured it into a glass resealable container that I had decorated before.
I let it cool down until the next day and gave it to my mother. Store the cream in the refrigerator. It's a bit runny, it's a cream after all, but that's okay. If you want it thicker, you can add a little solid fat (mango butter and olive emulsifying wax).
We have been using the cream for about 3 weeks now and it is helping mom - the cracks and dry skin are finally healing. The cream met my expectations.
