Cosgard, 10 ml

Cosgard is a preservative for use in water-based cosmetic products or formulations containing water. It is used to protect the finished product from the growth of microorganisms during storage and use.
It is used in creams, lotions, shampoos, shower gels, serums and other cosmetic preparations.

How to work with it

Cosgard is soluble in water and alcohol and is added to the finished emulsion or water phase. It is thermally stable and can be added to a warmer mixture, but it is recommended to process at temperatures up to approximately 40 °C.

Usage

• This preservative will effectively protect all your preparations containing an aqueous phase (creams, milks, lotions, gels ...).
• It is of synthetic origin, but is one of the few preservatives permitted by Ecocert and is widely used in ORGANIC cosmetics.
• Dosage: 0.2 to 1% (of the total weight of the product), introduced at the end of production, usual dosage 0.6%.
• This preservative will effectively protect all your preparations containing an aqueous phase.

Labeling according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council

• R20/22: Harmful by inhalation and if swallowed.
• S26: In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with water and seek medical advice.
• P261: Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray.
• P301 + P312 IF SWALLOWED: Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician if you feel unwell.
