Coconut and Vanilla Body Spray

Ingredients

For making 2 bottles of 60 ml, 120 g in total:

• 105.48 g distilled water
• 9 g Polysorbate 20

• 1.2 g isopropyl myristate

• 1.44 g coconut cosmetic fragrance, approximately 36 drops

• 1.56 g vanilla cosmetic fragrance, approximately 39 drops

• 0.6 g benzoin, approximately 15 drops
• 0.72 g Cosgard preservative

Recommended packaging:

• 2 60 ml spray bottles

Making procedure

1. Weigh the Polysorbate 20 and isopropyl myristate into a clean mixing container.
2. Add the coconut and vanilla cosmetic fragrances together with the benzoin.
3. Mix the blend thoroughly so that all fragrance and oil ingredients combine as well as possible with the solubilizer.
4. While stirring continuously, gradually pour in the measured distilled water.
5. Finally, add the Cosgard preservative and mix the blend thoroughly once again.
6. Pour the finished body spray into two clean 60 ml spray bottles.

After adding the water, the liquid may become slightly milky or lightly cloudy. With this type of recipe, this is a normal phenomenon that does not affect its use. The important thing is that the fragrance and oil ingredients remain evenly dispersed in the blend and do not form a separate layer on the surface.

What each ingredient does in the recipe

Distilled water: Forms the main base of the body spray and ensures its light, fresh consistency. Using clean distilled water is also important for the product’s proper stability and shelf life.

Polysorbate 20: Acts as a solubilizer that helps evenly disperse the fragrance ingredients in the water-based base. Without it, the fragrances would remain on the surface and separate from the water phase.

Isopropyl myristate: Softens the feel of the spray on the skin, reduces any potential stickiness and helps spread the fragrance ingredients evenly.

Coconut and vanilla cosmetic fragrances: Create a sweet and warming fragrance composition in which creamy coconut notes blend with delicate vanilla.

Benzoin: Adds a warm balsamic note to the fragrance. It also acts as a fixative, helping to slow the evaporation of the fragrance ingredients and extend their longevity on the skin.

Cosgard: Protects the water-based product from unwanted microorganism growth and helps maintain its safety throughout use.
