Cajeput Essential Oil

Characteristics

100% pure natural essential oil, steam-distilled from the leaves of Melaleuca Leucadendron cajuputii, a plant related to Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia). The oil has an intense, fresh, herbal and slightly camphoraceous scent with woody undertones.

Properties and uses

Aromatherapy: Refreshes the air, purifies the atmosphere and supports concentration.
Respiratory blends: Combined with camphor and mint, it forms the base of well-known balms for respiratory comfort.
Massage and baths: Used in massage and bath oils to ease muscle tension and revitalize the body.
Cosmetics: Added to skincare for oily and acne-prone skin as well as in hair care products.
Home use: Suitable for diffusers and aroma lamps, works as a natural deodorizer.
Blends well with: Cedar, Douglas fir, clove, oregano, rosemary and thyme.

How to dissolve essential oils?

Essential oils are hydrophobic and will not dissolve in water. They must always be mixed with a carrier:

Alcohol – ideal for perfumes and sprays.
Vegetable oils – for cosmetics and massage blends.
Polysorbate 80 – allows blending with water.
Augeo – suitable for diffusers and home fragrances.
