What do fragrance oils dissolve in?

Fragrance oils are hydrophobic and do not dissolve naturally in water. They must be mixed with a carrier:

• Alcohol – suitable for perfumes, sprays and diffusers.
• Vegetable oils – perfect for massage oils and cosmetics.
• Polysorbate 80 – allows mixing with water.
• Augeo – excellent for diffusers and room fragrances.
