Description

Learn how to easily make a plum miracle cup at home using natural plant ingredients, i.e. a multi-purpose balm that is suitable for lips, hands and dry areas of the body. With its marzipan aroma, it also delights the soul and induces a warm feeling. This year's first Christmas gift tip is here!

Colder weather, dry weather and also Christmas in the air are literally calling for the production of something fragrant, fast, but very nice and useful, which will make us and the gifted happy. We mix a rich, creamy balm that will please the delicate skin of the lips and hands, but will also be suitable for many other purposes. It is such an eco-friendly variation on the well-known miracle cup. We recommend putting it on your bedside table, throwing it in your purse or bag and leaving it at your workplace, you'll see that you'll be reaching for it often, at least for a sniff!

The plum balm looks a bit like a stiffer butter, but once you touch it, it starts to melt and melt away. It absorbs into the skin very quickly and leaves a non-greasy, almost powdery feeling. great for caring for dry, irritated or very delicate skin. In addition, ours smells wonderfully of marzipan, plums and vanilla and is perfect for making and using in Advent and winter.

Instead of classic vaseline derived from petroleum, which is mostly used in similar balms and ointments, we use vegetable vaseline, which is made from castor oil and carnauba wax. Vegetable petroleum jelly is extremely hydrating, has a high viscosity, and replaces petroleum jelly really well. Vaseline can heal even very cracked, dry or damaged skin, it softens, protects and is simply perfect for all balms and ointments.

We'll add a fragrant miracle to Vaseline that deserves much more attention than it gets - cold-pressed plum oil. You will fall in love with the fluffy, golden yellow oil the first time you smell it and apply it. Few carrier oils will make you as happy as this one. Unlike most of its colleagues, it really smells divine and specific. And it will add this marzipan cherry soothing scent to all the products you use it in.

Stearic acid takes care of thickening the formulation and a beautiful buttery, pleasantly rich consistency. Stearic acid transforms liquid plum oil and viscous vaseline into a wonderful balm. Therefore, definitely do not replace it.

The balm smells wonderful on its own, but we decided to add a drop of benzoin resin essential oil that smells like vanilla, caramel and coffee. Benzoe is a thick resin that is brought to a liquid state by dissolving it in alcohol. And it complements perfectly with the scent of plum oil!

Mastichka deserves some nice packaging, especially if you use it as a Christmas gift or a nice attention at other events. We chose a beautiful heart-shaped packaging or interesting sliding tins. But we can also imagine it in a playful macaron packaging, an elegant transparent cup or in a classic aluminum bowl.

Ok lets go!

What does it take?

We are warming up

- 10 grams of plum oil

- 5 grams of vegetable petroleum jelly

- 6.8 grams of stearic acid

Add when cooling

- 0.1 gram of vitamin E

- 0.1 gram of Benzoin Resin essential oil

How to do it?

Prepare a water bath.

Weigh plum oil, vegetable vaseline and stearic acid into a heat-resistant bowl. Then place the whisk in a water bath and let it slowly heat up on a low flame.

While the ingredients are melting in the hot water bath, prepare an ice bath as well - pour a few ice cubes into the bowl and cover with cold water.

When all the heated ingredients are dissolved, remove the bowl from the hot water and mix the contents well. Allow to cool for a while, add vitamin E and essential oil and mix again.

Then place the bowl in an ice bath and stir the mixture continuously. Use a spatula and regularly wipe the congealing mass from the walls of the container. When the mass is beautifully uniform and creamy, it's done.

Then it is enough to transfer the mixture into the selected containers - for example, three aluminum sliding cups or one heart-shaped can will be suitable for the specified amount.

How to use it?

Apply the balm classically to your lips, massage your nail beds or hands with it, or use it on dry areas on your face or body.
